How to Sell More Content: 30 Daily Tips for Creators

Updated 6 min read BentBox Editorial

A fan of five playing cards in BentBox colours, one for each step of the selling routine

Want to sell more content? Start by knowing it is not a magic trick. Nobody goes viral overnight. Creators who sell well do a handful of small things every day, for every Box and every video. This deck turns those things into 30 daily selling cards. Flip one, do what it says, and come back tomorrow.

Today's card

Five minutes a day

Set a timer. Send one message, answer one comment. Then stop.

The selling routine: repeat it for every upload

Every Box and every video goes through the same five steps. The four suits of the deck follow them, and the ★ Mindset cards hold it all together.

  1. Step 1UploadPut a new Box or video live.
  2. Step 2DescribeWrite a title, description and tags for this upload only.
  3. Step 3AnnounceSend your supporters a personal message about it.
  4. Step 4OfferGive people a reason to buy now.
  5. Step 5Engage dailySpend five minutes a day with your fans until the next upload.

↻ After step 5, your next upload starts the routine again.

Mindset

This is not a magic trick

Nobody goes viral overnight. Sales are built from small actions, every day.

Remember
  • Forget the overnight hit. It almost never happens, and you can't plan for it.
  • What works is boring and reliable: upload, tell people, give them a reason to buy, keep talking.
  • Pick one card a day and do it. That is the whole system.
Mindset

The proof is in the pudding

Agencies earn real money selling other people's content. Selling content works.

Remember
  • Countless agencies make a living by promoting creators' content through chats, messages and fan management.
  • They don't have better content than you. They have a routine, and they never stop promoting.
  • If a Box isn't selling, the problem is almost always promotion, not the content. That's good news: promotion is something you control.
Mindset

Five minutes a day

Set a timer. Send one message, answer one comment. Then stop.

Remember
  • Put five minutes in your calendar at the same time every day.
  • In those five minutes, do one thing: a reply, a thank-you, a question to a fan.
  • Five minutes every day beats two hours once a month. Your supporters notice when you're there.
Create

Upload one Box or video

Step one of the routine. Nothing sells until it's live.

Do this
  • Finished is better than perfect. Upload the set you have ready.
  • A Box is a collection: give it a clear theme so it feels complete.
  • A photo set can also include one video, which adds value without a separate upload.
Create

Choose a cover that stops the scroll

Your cover is your shop window. Make it glamour, artistic and inviting.

Do this
  • Pick your strongest image for the public cover: glamour or artistic, never explicit.
  • Keep explicit images for inside the Box, where buyers find them.
  • A phone selfie can be a great cover if the light, pose and framing are good.
Create

Give it a title only this Box could have

“New set 14” sells nothing. Name the place, the mood, the moment.

Do this
  • Use something specific: a location, an outfit, a time of day, a feeling.
  • Read it back. Could this title belong to any of your other Boxes? Then rewrite it.
Example
Instead ofNew set!! 🔥🔥
TryGolden hour on the balcony in a white linen shirt
Create

Write a description that sells

Three sentences: what's inside, the story, why it's worth it.

Do this
  • What's inside: the number of photos, the video length, the outfit or setting.
  • The story: where you shot it, what you were feeling, what made it special.
  • The invitation: tell buyers what they'll get that they can't see on the cover.
Example
Instead ofHot pics, check it out, you won't regret it
Try42 photos and a 3-minute video from a rainy Sunday at home. I shot it all on my own in the morning light, starting in my robe and ending somewhere much less dressed. My most relaxed set so far.
Create

Never copy and paste

Every Box is different. Its words should be too.

Do this
  • Copied descriptions and pasted hashtags make all your Boxes look the same, and buyers skip what looks familiar.
  • Write fresh text for every upload, even if it's short.
  • A few honest new lines always beat a long pasted block.
Create

Use tags that fit this Box

Five to eight specific tags beat thirty pasted ones.

Do this
  • Describe what's really in the set: setting, outfit, style, mood.
  • Drop tags that don't apply. Misleading tags bring disappointed buyers who don't come back.
Create

Price with intent

You keep 100% of your price. The buyer pays the BentBox fee on top.

Do this
  • A typical photo set on BentBox sells for around $10 creator's price.
  • Creators with loyal fans sell strong photo-only sets for $100 to $200. Loyalty matters more than follower count.
  • Price bigger, more personal Boxes higher, and say in the description why they're worth it.
Create

Keep it clean and yours

No watermarks from other sites, ever.

Do this
  • Watermarks from other platforms make content look leaked, and they are not allowed on BentBox.
  • Upload your own original files, with release forms in place where they're needed.
Announce

Announce it like a person, not a billboard

“I’ve got a new Box” is not a message. Tell them what it is and why you made it.

Do this
  • Write the way you'd text a friend about something you're proud of.
  • Name one detail from the set that will make them curious.
  • End with a friendly, direct invitation and the link.
Example
Instead ofHey, new box up, go check it!
TryHi! Remember the vintage red dress you asked about last month? I finally shot it, in an old hotel with green wallpaper. 38 photos, and the last ten are my favourites. It's live now. I'd love to know what you think.

Write to buyers and followers separately

People who bought before and people who never did need different words.

Do this
  • BentBox Email lets you send one message to all your followers, to your buyers, or to followers who haven't bought yet.
  • To buyers: thank them, and tell them how this Box connects to what they already have.
  • To followers who never bought: give them an easy first reason to try.
Announce

Add a preview image

Show a tasteful teaser inside the message, not just a link.

Do this
  • Attach one strong image from the set to your announcement.
  • Choose something that hints at the Box without giving it away.
Announce

Send a voice message

Twenty seconds of your voice is more personal than any caption.

Do this
  • BentBox Email and Messenger both support audio messages.
  • Say hello, say what the new Box is, say why you enjoyed making it. Keep it short and natural.
Announce

Tell the story behind the shoot

Fans buy from people, not from files. Share how it came together.

Do this
  • What went wrong, what made you laugh, what you'd do differently next time.
  • A small behind-the-scenes detail turns a set into a moment fans want to own.
Announce

Share a safe teaser outside BentBox

Post a safe-for-work image on Instagram, X or Reddit and point people to your page.

Do this
  • Use a glamour or artistic image that follows each platform's rules.
  • Add a short line about the new Box and where to find you.
  • Read the platform guides for Instagram, X and Reddit before you post.
Announce

Send one reminder, not ten

Many people mean to buy and forget. One friendly reminder brings them back.

Do this
  • Send a short reminder a day before a launch price ends, or a few days after the announcement.
  • Add something new: a second preview image, a detail you didn't mention, or a fan's reaction.
  • One reminder per Box is enough. More than that turns supporters into unfollowers.
Offer

Give it a launch price

A lower price for the first 48 hours gives people a reason to buy today.

Do this
  • Announce the launch window clearly: when it starts and when it ends.
  • Raise the price when the window closes, as promised. Keeping your word builds trust for the next launch.
Offer

Thank past buyers with a discount

Your buyers are your best customers. Treat them that way.

Do this
  • Send returning buyers a personal note with a lower price on the new Box.
  • Make it feel like a thank-you, not a sales push.
Offer

Win over followers who never bought

They follow you for a reason. Give them a first step.

Do this
  • Message followers who haven't bought with a special offer on an older or smaller Box.
  • One good first purchase often leads to the next.
Offer

Sell a little extra in messages

Photos, videos and audio can be sold directly inside a message.

Do this
  • Offer an exclusive outtake or short clip that isn't in the Box.
  • Use it with fans who are already chatting with you. It feels personal, because it is.
Offer

Say thank you after every sale

A short, personal thank-you turns a buyer into a supporter.

Do this
  • Message each buyer within a day, and mention the Box by name.
  • Ask what they'd like to see next. Their answer is your next Box idea.
Engage

Reply to every message

Answer within a day. Silence costs sales.

Do this
  • Fans who get a reply come back. Fans who don't, drift away.
  • Short is fine. Warm is essential.
Engage

Answer comments

Every comment is a fan raising their hand.

Do this
  • Reply to new comments on your Boxes and your page.
  • Your replies show other visitors that you're present and friendly.
Engage

Ask your fans a question

Let them choose the outfit, the location or the theme of the next Box.

Do this
  • “Red dress or black lace for the next set?” gets replies, and replies build relationships.
  • When you shoot what they chose, tell them. They'll want to buy it.
Engage

Check in with a top supporter

Pick one loyal fan today and send them a personal note on Messenger.

Do this
  • No sales pitch. Just thank them for being around.
  • Loyal fans are the ones who buy your biggest Boxes.
Engage

Remember the details

Keep a note of each regular's name and what they like.

Do this
  • A notes app is enough: name, favourite style, last Box they bought.
  • Mentioning something they told you weeks ago makes them feel seen.
Engage

Review the week

Once a week, look at what sold and ask why.

Do this
  • Which Box sold best? Which message got the most replies?
  • Do more of what worked. Drop what didn't.
Engage

Plan the next upload

The routine starts again. Pick the theme and the date.

Do this
  • Decide what you'll shoot next, using what your fans told you.
  • Put the upload day in your calendar. A steady rhythm keeps fans coming back.

Why this works

Selling content is profitable. Countless agencies earn a living by promoting other people's content through chats and messages. They don't have better content than you; they have a routine and they never stop. When a creator's Boxes don't sell, the cause is almost always too little promotion. That part is in your hands, five minutes at a time. For the bigger picture, read why creators must promote every day and work through the BentBox page checklist.

Frequently asked questions

How do I use the daily selling cards?

Open the page, read today's card and do what it says. It takes a few minutes. You can also pick a suit when you're at that stage, for example the Announce cards right after an upload, or flip through the whole deck when you plan your week.

Can a Box go viral overnight?

It almost never happens, and it can't be planned. Creators who sell well do a few small things every day: they upload regularly, describe each Box properly, tell their supporters about it and stay in touch.

Why shouldn't I copy descriptions and tags between Boxes?

Copied text makes every Box look the same, so buyers skip it. A short description written for that specific Box, with tags that match what is inside, gives each upload its own chance to sell.

How much time do I need each day?

Five minutes is enough to start: reply to messages, answer comments or send one personal note. Doing it every day matters more than doing a lot occasionally.
