What a Collection is
A Collection is a named group of Boxes on BentBox that lives at its own shareable page on your personal profile.
Whose Boxes can go in one
Yours and other creators'. You do not need to publish any Boxes yourself in order to build Collections.
How to add a Box
Click the plus button at the bottom of any Box card, then pick an existing Collection or create one on the spot.

One link that shows a whole series is easier to promote than five links that each show one item. That is the entire argument for Collections, and it is a strong one.

1. Save Boxes into a Collection

Click the plus button at the bottom of any Box card to add that Box to a Collection. You can create a new Collection from your personal page in advance, or create one on the fly at the moment you add the first Box.

Because Collections can hold other creators' Boxes as well as your own, they also work as public curation: a themed edit, a favourites list, a shortlist of work you admire.

2. Your Collections live on your personal page

Every Collection has its own page and its own link. Promote a Collection directly when you want to sell a theme or a series, and point people at your personal page when you want them to see everything you have.

3. Ask other people to collect you

When another user saves your Box into their Collection, your work appears on their page in front of their audience. That is free distribution, and most creators never think to ask for it.

  • Build a Collection per series or theme, then use that one link everywhere instead of a list of Box links.
  • Curate a Collection featuring creators you work with, and ask them to do the same. It is a fair trade and it costs nobody anything.
  • Pair a Collection with a promo code that covers every Box in it, so the whole series has one offer attached.
