Zeus

Zeus's photography is an unashamed celebration of feminine beauty and eroticism — rooted in the mythology of the Mediterranean island where he grew up. Inspired by Aphrodite, the Goddess of love and beauty, he returns at least once or twice a year to shoot at her birthplace and across Greece, including Athens with the Acropolis as backdrop. The ancient world runs through everything he does.

Now based in England, Zeus works across three distinct worlds: his home studio, where he creates everything from glamour to girl-next-door and bedroom erotica; the sun-drenched landscapes of the Mediterranean; and stylish hotel rooms across European cities, where the architecture and intimacy of the space become part of the story. He prefers models who are as natural as possible, and pays close attention to outfits, props, lighting and composition — choosing his equipment and lenses to fit the narrative rather than the other way around.

Recurring themes run through his catalogue — "girl next door", "office girl", "cabaret", "pearl erotica" and art nude at his favourite locations on the island of Aphrodite — but each shoot is shaped by the model, the location and the mood. Every image is a considered story, told with care.
