"Sometimes the simplest encounters become the most complex."

Jake — working under the name The Kitchen Sink — is a U.S.-based boudoir and fine art photographer with more than thirty years behind the camera. His work blends sensuality with refined aesthetics, drawing on fashion editorial, classic portraiture and cinematic storytelling to create imagery that feels timeless rather than trend-driven. Confidence, vulnerability, human connection: these are the registers he works in, and the results feel intimate without ever feeling exploitative.

What sets Jake apart is where his subjects come from. He often discovers new talent in everyday settings — a coffee shop, a flight, a waiting room — and has a particular gift for working with first-time models. His relaxed, easygoing manner helps women feel comfortable enough to explore aspects of themselves they may never have expressed before, including posing nude for the first time. Each box on BentBox carries a behind-the-scenes thread: the who, what, where and why of the encounter, the small obstacles overcome, the trust built. It turns each shoot into a story you read alongside the images.

His technique favours natural expression over heavy retouching, strong composition over performative posing. Window light, shadow and environmental texture do most of the work; carefully placed foreground elements add a fine-art quality directly in-camera. Each session is collaborative — music, movement, environment — designed so genuine moments emerge on their own. His portfolio spans boudoir, glamour, artistic nude and erotica, often shot in boutique interiors and naturally lit rooms. At its core: imagery that connects instantly, grounded in authentic emotion rather than manufactured perfection.
