Crosslight never dies!The balance between hard and soft with a high contrast shown in a glamoure set by this way, and by a model that fit perfect in this style,of course.Glamor to Nude was on the agenda with NANA 2007. Nowadays one would say “sensual”, although that doesn't quite apply. Crosslight is the magic word, here caused by two white umbrellas. Positioned diagonally from above and against each other, they generate this light that is hard, rich in contrast and yet somehow soft. A 1.5 m softbox served as a filler from the front, which simply lay on the floor and therefore radiated slightly upwards. Two normal reflectors on the background then added their parts.I don't know why this style went out of fashion at some point. But it is an extreme balancing act when it comes to exposure and not that easy, even if it looks simple … maybe that's why. It’s fine with me, since pictures from this series always stand out when I show them online nowadays from the kind of “sensual” that is common todaynowadays.
