"Take care of your teeth when you are young, and they will take care of you when you are old" - Sage advice from Tony, my family dentist. While I did not always get my dental care from Tony while his practice was open, I have always heeded his advice. My travel schedule frequently requires that I visit health professionals away from my home turf. In this instance, I was in Charlotte North Carolina in the USA, teaching a photography seminar at UNC Charlotte. The reminder on my calendar went off and let me know that I was due to have my teeth cleaned. Since I would not be back home for a number of weeks, I decided to bite the bullet (no pun intended) and see if I could get them cleaned in Charlotte. I asked around the faculty at UNC and found an awesome dentist. And that awesome dentist had an awesome hygienist named Jennifer working for him. After a quick introductory meeting with the doctor, Jennifer set about digging in my mouth. Thankfully no issues were discovered, and the cleaning session was uneventful. When we were finished, Jennifer asked me what I was doing in Charlotte, and I told her that I was teaching a seminar on nude photography at UNC. She immediately blushed and let out a nervous giggle. "Nothing embarrassing about it", I told her. "You should try it." Well, apparently when Jennifer was growing up, she fantasized about being in the famous men's magazine with the bunny logo. But she was always too shy. I guess she figured it was now or never though, and she agreed to shoot with me. We waited until all of the other patients and employees had left the office, and we got down to business. Enjoy !
