Yes, this is radically different from other Bent Box items I have here. Over the years, I got to see BB King several times. He ran a tight ship, even when he was older and no longer able to stand. His music and trademark guitar stylings were awesome, but BB always took the time to regale you with stories of his childhood, growing up poor and black in a south that, thankfully, is long gone. His lessons in living were every bit as important as his exquisite music. The last time I saw him, I also got to shoot. I had three songs, barely 10 minutes, to get a little slice of the grace, power and talent that made BB the King. Those of us who saw him perform will always miss him. As with all the great ones we've lost, there will never be another quite like him. (The only thing experimental about this box is seeing whether anybody cares enough to buy this one when there are all the other delights to steal your attention.)
