I had set up my portable studio strobe lights at some of the cosplay events we like to frequent to get these better images. I love to capture photos of these creative participants, so here is some of the results of the interesting people willing to pose for us in there in costumes, like it was Halloween. Some had gone all out to enter the costume contest to show off their creativity. If you can identify who they are pretending to be you are a true geek yourself. For lighting I was using an AlienBee 800 to the right and an Einstein 640 off to the left controlled with my Cyber Commander by Paul Buff. They are powered with their Vagabond lithium battery pack, which dose last for a good !,500 flashes or so on a single charge with the modeling lamps turned off. The strobes were pointed away from the subjects into silver reflective umbrellas with me shooting between them. The camera I used for most of these shots is a Nikon full frame D810 they just released in July of 2014. I have a Nikor 2
